Tony Bennett Met Wife Susan While Her Mom Was Pregnant with Her

Tony Bennett reveals he met his current wife Susan when her parents were pregnant with her.

During one of his shows several years ago when he was 40 years old (he’s now 90), he met Marion and Dayl Crow when they were expecting their daughter (who is now 50). They dated for years and married in 2007.

“As fate would have it, Marion was pregnant at the time with … Susan!” Tony wrote in his memoir “Just Getting Started” (via People). “It’s a photo we all laugh about, knowing the incredible turn of events that followed.”

When Susan was 19, she asked to meet Tony backstage at one of his shows.

“It tickled me that someone of her age was so devoted to my music,” he wrote. “I not only agreed to say hello to her backstage but asked her to be my date for the evening, and that’s how it all really began, foreshadowed by a backstage photo taken in 1966!”
