Robert De Niro & Grace Hightower Split After 20 Years of Marriage

Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower have sadly called it quits.

The 75-year-old Oscar winner and his 63-year-old wife have decided to separate and are living separately after more than 20 years of marriage, People Magazine reports.

“Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to,” a source told the magazine.

Robert and Grace married back in 1997 after more than a decade of dating. The pair are parents to son Elliott, 20, and daughter Helen Grace, 6.

This isn’t the first time the pair has split. Back in 1999, Robert filed for divorce and engaged in a custody battle over their son. They soon reconciled.

In November 2004, Robert and Grace renewed their vows in a star-studded ceremony.

Robert‘s reps have not yet commented on the news.
