Then: Before his breakout performance in School of Rock, Jack made a name for himself with his band Tenacious D, and in 2000′s High Fidelity, 2001′s Shallow Hal and Saving Silverman, and 2002′s Orange County.

Now: Jack continues to make music with Tenacious D. He also starred in 2005′s King Kong, 2006′s The Holiday and Nacho Libre, 2009′s Year One, 2010′s Gulliver’s Travels, 2011′s Bernie, 2015′s Goosebumps and 2018′s Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, 2017′s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and 2018′s Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot and The House with a Clock in Its Walls. He also lent his voice to the Kung Fu Panda franchise and 2004′s Shark Tale.

He will also reprise his role in the 2019 Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel.
