Before playing Roger’s butler and best friend, and a father figure to Alyssa her whole life, Philip Bosco starred in 1983′s Trading Places, 1986′s The Money Pit and Children of a Lesser God, 1987′s Three Men and a Baby, and 1988′s Working Girl. He won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1988 for ABC Afterschool Specials, and a Tony Award for his performance in the 1989 Broadway production of “Lend Me a Tenor.”

Philip also received Tony nominations for “The Rape of the Belt,” “Heartbreak House,” “You Never Can Tell,” and “Moon Over Buffalo.”

Now:

Philip appeared in 1996′s The First Wives Club, 1997′s My Best Friend’s Wedding, 2000′s Wonder Boys, Law & Order from 2002-06, 2005′s Hitch, 2007′s The Savages, and Damages from 2007-09. He also starred in the 2004 production of “12 Angry Men.” In 1998, Philip was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame.

Philip sadly passed away last month in his home in Haworth, N.J., at the age of 88, Deadline reports.
