Alyson Stoner Found Out About Her Missy Elliot 'Work It' Performance One Day Before the VMAs!

Alyson Stoner had almost no time to rehearse before her epic performance with Missy Elliot at the 2019 MTV VMAs!

The 26-year-old entertainer revealed that she was asked to be a part of the show just a day before it took place!

Alyson took to her Twitter to share the details about the performance, where she recreated her exact routine from the “Work It” music video from 17 years ago.

“Let’s talk quick facts.. HiHat hit me up a day before to jump in, said ‘do your thing’ and then it was showtime. 😅😳🙏🏽💁🏻‍♀️ But those grooves don’t leave your system. ❤️,” Alyson wrote.

She later added a shout out to Missy, writing, “Love you. Forever grateful. Thankful for your warmth, diligence, spirit. It’s the greatest honor to celebrate you with the world. Still geekin!!! ❤️❤️”
