Stephan James & Shamier Anderson Announce Exciting News at TIFF 2019

The two actors, who are actually real-life brothers as well, announced some exciting news at the festival. Their mentorship B.L.A.C.K. (Building a Legacy in Acting Cinema and Knowledge) has partnered with the Canada Media Fund to inspire young diverse talent to move into the arts.
Stephan and Shamier also attended the B.L.A.C.K. Ball that night where they connected diverse talent with filmmakers and industry insiders.
“We couldn’t be happier to partner with the MADE | NOUS initiative. At the B.L.A.C.K Ball, we pay homage to established talent while also introducing the new generation of filmmakers and artists. Our movement shares a common goal with MADE, and that is to celebrate Canada’s creative titans while nurturing the new class of industry innovators,” the guys told Deadline.
Stephan is best known for his work on Amazon’s Homecoming and the movie If Beale Street Could Talk while Shamier stars on the Amazon series Goliath and in the new film Endings/Beginnings.
