Ryan Eggold Dreams of Having Kids Thanks To 'New Amsterdam' Role!
Ryan Eggold is all smiles while attending the Paleyfest NY panel for his hit series New Amsterdam held at The Paley Center for Media on Tuesday (October 15) in New York City.
The 35-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Janet Montgomery, Tyler Labine, Jocko Sims and Anupam Kher, as well as creator David Schulner and director Peter Horton.
Ryan Eggold recently revealed that he’d like to have kids in real life after his New Amsterdam character, Dr. Max Goodwin, became a dad after last year’s season finale.
“Oh yeah, yeah, big time,” Eggold confessed at the TODAY Parenting Team event. “Definitely. I would love to have kids. Having a baby on TV is great training for having a kid!”
“I’m very much looking forward to (parenting), whenever that comes,” Ryan added. “I’m just playing make-believe, obviously, but there are things you learn as you go about it. If you have to play a scene where you’re dealing with XYZ issue about raising a child, you have to sort of pseudo-experience it. You have to think about ‘How would I react?’ and ‘What is it like?’ I’m telling you, it’s the best training wheels.”
