Drake Booed Off Stage, Ends Set Early at Recent Performance (Video)

Fans were not happy to see Drake at a recent performance at Tyler, the Creator‘s annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

An Instagram Live that was posted earlier led fans to believe that the special guest that evening was going to be Frank Ocean, and instead, it was Drake. It’s speculated that this is why he was booed off the stage.

A video quickly made the rounds on social media with Drake on stage telling the audience, “You know, Imma tell you, like I said, I’m here for you tonight. If you want me to keep going, I will keep going.”

Boos could then be heard, with an audible “no” coming from the crowd as well.

“It’s been love. I love ya. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me,” he said, concluding his set 20 minutes early, Billboard reports.

Tyler, the Creator has since responded with his own tweets about what went down, writing, “I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE F*CKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASSHOLES WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT F*CK WITH THAT.”

He continued, “THAT SH*T WAS LIKE MOB MENTALITY AND CANCEL CULTURE IN REAL LIFE AND I THINK THAT SHIT IS F*CKING TRASH”
