The hour-long special will help launch the upcoming streaming service HBO Max, which will house the Friends library.
Deadline reports that the unscripted reunion special has neared a deal and that the cast members – David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Matt LeBlanc – are all expected to return.
The outlet also reports that each of the six stars will net be paid around $3-4 million, which equates to what Netflix commonly pays top comedians to headline hour-long specials.
