Netflix finalized the deal, which has a budget of “$75 million or more,” according to bidding sources.

The story is about “two scientists who discover that a meteor will strike the Earth in six months. They go on a media tour trying to warn the world but find an unreceptive and unbelieving populace.”

“She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite act.’ And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way,” said Adam in a statement.

The movie is set to begin principal photography in April, with a hope to release the movie later this year.

Back in the end of 2017, Jennifer announced she was taking a break from acting. As previously announced, she’ll also be starring in a movie called Mob Girl.
