Vin Diesel Talks About Going Back To Filming 'Fast & Furious 7' After Paul Walker's Death

Vin Diesel has opened up about returning to filming on Fast & Furious 7 just after Paul Walker had died.

In his recent interview with NME, the 52-year-old actor revealed that he was very reluctant to go back to the set after the events that happened.

“I felt like the studio was asking me to go back to a funeral,” Vin admitted. “I was so broken by it.”

However, going back to the set had Vin part of what he calls “the best moment in cinematic history.”

“I didn’t want anyone to use the tragedy as a story plot,” he continued. “It was so important to me…It was a very, very tough moment. But there was some solace in the fact that we were able to protect from the natural whim of a producer or anyone to say, ‘Well now you’re going to go avenge the character,’ and use it as a plot and we were able to do something so beautiful and so classy.”

Vin added the scene actually “might be the best moment in cinematic history.”

“Not just in my career but in cinematic history. Men around the world—everyone was able to cry—but men around the planet for the first time in history were able to cry together.”

The ending of Fast & Furious 7 was seen as a send off to Paul Walker, and his character, Brian.
