Justice League's 'Snyder Cut' Finally Getting Released in 2021

The unreleased version of the 2017 superhero film Justice League will air on HBO Max next year! The unreleased version of the film has been dubbed “the Syder Cut,” for director Zack Snyder.

If you don’t know, Zack completed most of the work on the film in 2016, but had to leave the movie to deal with a family tragedy. Joss Whedon ended up taking over, and fans thought their conflicting styles led to a totally different film than intended. Fans have been calling for Zack‘s cut of the film to be released for years, and it’s finally happening.

“I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality,” he said in a statement. HBO Max will get the debut, sometime in 2021.

The film brings together Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Superman (Henry Cavill). The stars of the film have also mostly called for this version of the movie to be released over the years, and it’s finally happening!

Here’s what one of the stars said about the film’s reviews when it came out in 2017.
