Janelle Monae Releases Powerful Music Video for New Song 'Turntables' - Watch!

Janelle Monae has dropped a new music video!

The 34-year-old singer/actress released the music video for her new single “Turntables,” which will be featured in Liz Garbus and Lisa Cortés‘ upcoming documentary film All In: The Fight for Democracy.

The music video shows footage of racial oppression and police brutality in protests for justice over the decades, before switches into scenes of Black strength, excellence and achievement.

“We kicking out the old regime / Liberation, elevation, education / I said ‘America, yousa lie’ / But the whole world ’bout to testify,” Janelle sings in the song.

Also this week, Janelle attended the drive-in premiere of her new thriller Antebellum, which will be released as a Premium On-Demand release on all platforms on September 18.
