Tyler Perry & Longtime Love Gelila Bekele Split 'Some Time Ago'

Tyler Perry revealed that he is “single” in a new Instagram post that had fans thirsting after him.

Now, there’s a bit of a follow up about his split from his partner Gelila Bekele, which was news to the world.

According to People, the couple “amicably split some time ago and remain close friends.”

“Their focus is on being the best parents they can for their son,” the insider added. The couple are parents to Aman Tyler, who was born in late 2014.

“This is what a midlife crisis looks like. I’m 51, single and wondering what the next chapter in my life will look like,” Tyler posted earlier, revealing the news. “Whatever it looks like I’m going to walk with God, be the best father and man I can be, hold my head up high, and try to look my best doing it!!
