Lady Gaga Explains Why Trump Needs to Be Impeached, Not Ousted with 25th Amendment
Lady Gaga is explaining why ousting Donald Trump from office using the 25th amendment is not the appropriate form of action right now.
The 34-year-old entertainer took to Twitter on Thursday night (January 7) to tell fans that impeachment is the right way to go because it could prevent Trump from ever running for office again.
“I hope we focus to impeach Trump so Congress has the constitutional authority to possibly disqualify him from future election — the #25thAmendment doesn’t disqualify him. He incited domestic terror—how much more violence needs to happen? This is terrorism,” Gaga tweeted.

If a president is impeached and removed from office, he or she can also be disqualified from holding any office again. While it would require two-thirds of the Senate to remove Trump from office, only a majority vote needs to happen to disqualify him from running again.
Gaga also took to Twitter on Thursday to applaud the efforts of Black women in Georgia, like Stacey Abrams, who helped secure the Democratic wins in the runoff election.
I believe the change that so many wish for exists in the work of Black Women activating Georgia. White Supremacy responded as it does often with little repercussions, like on 1/6/21. But this will not undo their work.
