Taron Egerton Set For Apple TV+ Limited Series As Prisoner Who Turns On Cellmate

Taron Egerton is headed to television.

The 31-year-old Rocketman actor is set to star in In With the Devil alongside Paul Walter Hauser for Apple TV+, Variety is reporting.

The limited series is said to be based on the 2010 novel “In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” by James Keene and Hillel Levin.

The series is described as a through the lens account of the relationship between two prisoners, exploring the lengths that people will go to in order to seek redemption, if true absolution is ever really possible, and if so, at what costs.

Taron would play James Keene, and the series is based on his real life when he was sentenced to prison but offered his freedom in exchange for coaxing a confession out of a fellow inmate, a suspected serial killer.

This announcement follows another from Apple TV+, who has recruited Brie Larson to star in another project.
