Pregnant Mandy Moore Reveals She's Altered Her Birth Plan Due To This

Mandy Moore is rearranging her birth plan she had set in place.

The 36-year-old pregnant actress revealed to fans that she’s changing some aspects about the plan as her platelet count has dropped “exponentially.”

“Weekly platelet check at the hematologist,” Mandy shared on her Instagram Story. “My platelets have dropped exponentially during pregnancy and it’s sadly altered my birth ‘plan.’ Any other pregnant folks in the same boat??”

The platelet count drop hints at a condition called gestational thrombocytopenia, which is common and occurs in between seven and 10 percent of pregnancies at delivery.

Mandy has been open about her struggles with her pregnancy, as this is her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

In a new interview with Romper, Mandy detailed how she struggled to believe she was pregnant until the 12-week mark and was on the cusp of having surgery on her uterus.
