Michael B. Jordan Confirmed To Make Directorial Debut on 'Creed III'

Michael B. Jordan is stepping behind the camera for the next Creed movie.

Deadline reports that the 32-year-old actor has been confirmed by MGM to direct the pic, in which he’ll also reprise his role as Adonis Johnson.

“Directing has always been an aspiration, but the timing had to be right,” Michael shared in an official statement on his new role. “Creed III is that moment — a time in my life where I’ve grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally, and learning from the Greats like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington, and other top tier directors I respect. All of which sets the table for this moment.”

He continues, “This franchise and in particular the themes of Creed III are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake.”

On top of Michael‘s role as director, MGM also revealed that Creed III will premiere on November 23, 2022.

The rumor about Michael directing was first shared by co-star Tessa Thompson in a recent interview. See what she teased here…
