'Black Widow' & 'Cruella' to Debut on Disney+, Many Release Dates Altered

Disney is altering their plans.

The company announced that Marvel‘s Black Widow has shifted to a July 9 release date from May 7, and will debut on Disney+ and in theaters simultaneously. Cruella, the next big live action film starring Emma Stone, will still debut on May 28 but will also be available to stream on Disney+ and in theaters.

These two films will cost $30 to watch at home, on top of the Disney+ monthly fee.

Because of these moves, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been moved from July 9 to September 3, 2021.

Pixar’s next hit, Luca, will also debut on Disney+ exclusively for no extra fee on June 18.

The following other films were delayed: Free Guy (August 13), The King’s Man (December 22), Deep Water (January 14, 2022) and Death on the Nile (Feb. 11, 2022) were all moved.

Black Widow was the biggest Marvel movie impacted by the pandemic, as it was originally supposed to be released last May and has moved several times. It looks like the Scarlett Johansson-starrer will finally be seen this summer.
