Luke Bryan Tests Positive For Coronavirus; Will Miss 'American Idol's First Live Show of the Season
Luke Bryan has tested positive for coronavirus.
The American Idol judge and country singer revealed the news to his fans on social media, and will miss the first live show of the season.
“I’m sad to say I won’t be a part of tonight’s first live @americanidol show,” he wrote. “I tested positive for COVID but I’m doing well and look forward to being back at it soon.”

It’s Paula Abdul!
Paula was an original judge for the show when it first premiered back in 2002 on Fox. She sat alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson as Kelly Clarkson became the first winner.
The Idol team announced the change on their own social pages.
“We’re so excited to announce Paula Abdul will be stepping in as a guest judge to join Lionel Richie and Katy Perry as we get closer to crowning a new winner!” they said on Instagram.
