CBS Renews 'NCIS' With Mark Harmon to Return, Hands Renewals to 4 Other Shows
Huge NCIS news!
Mark Harmon is returning to the show for a 19th season, CBS confirmed Thursday (April 15), via THR.
Following earlier reports in 2021 that Mark was looking to move on from the role he first originated on JAG back in 2003, he entered negotiations to return for another season upon learning the show would likely end if he retired.
It’s unclear whether he will be returning full-time on the show, as negotiations included the option to appear in a limited number of episodes. It’s not yet known how many episodes will be included in the new season, nor whether this is the final season of the show.
Find out what else got renewed…
NCIS could potentially be the longest-running U.S. primetime drama series of all time, with only Law & Order: SVU (22 seasons and counting), the original Law & Order (20 seasons) and Gunsmoke (20 seasons) having more seasons.
In addition, the network also made the announcement that they are ordering Season 6 for Bull, Season 5 for SWAT, Season 12 for Blue Bloods and Season 4 for Magnum PI!
