Lance Bass Says His Assistant's Gameplay on 'The Circle' Was Not What They Planned

Lance Bass‘ longtime personal assistant Lisa Delcampo is a contestant on the current season of Netflix’s The Circle and he’s sharing his thoughts on her gameplay.

For those that don’t know, the show follows contestants who live in the same building and can only communicate with each other on the social media app The Circle. The contestants can choose to be themselves or enter the app as a catfish and choose a completely different identity for the competition. The most popular contestant at the end of the competition, aka the top influencer, will win $100,000!

Lisa is being a catfish on the show and she’s playing as Lance, so the rest of the contestants think that he’s actually on the show. There definitely are some who are suspicious about his identity though!

Unfortunately, Lisa was voted out (aka blocked) at the end of episode 8, but she was given a second chance and will continue on the show with a brand new profile that she’s sharing with another blocked contestant.

Lance is not happy with the way Lisa played the game.

“I’m excited to see how she recovers from this really bad gameplay,” Lance told Us Weekly. “We’re huge reality game lovers. So, we had a real conversation before she went to the house on how to play the game and what alliances to make and what you can and cannot say, that’s gonna make people like you.”

He added, “We had a whole plan set. She did the exact opposite of what I told her!”

Lance says that he gave Lisa permission to say anything she wanted because she was creating a character. If Lance were to ever go on the show, he says he’d also be a catfish because he doesn’t think he’d be able to win as himself.

“I would go on there as my assistant. I wouldn’t want people to think it’s actually me because the main thing is — especially when it’s a public figure and something like this — no one wants you to win because to them you’ve already won in life and you don’t need the money and all that,” Lance said. “So no one’s really going to vote for you to win the game. I’d have to play for someone else, as someone else and make it seem like I really need the money.”
