Coldplay Premieres Max Martin-Produced Single 'Higher Power' in Space!

Coldplay are taking their music to new heights, to say the least.

The band just premiered their new single “Higher Power” in a very unique way on Thursday (May 6).

The song was produced by pop titan Max Martin, and came with an extraterrestrial experience.

To premiere the tune, the band teamed up for a video chat with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently on board the International Space Station.

A performance of “Higher Power” featuring dancing alien holograms was beamed up to the astronaut, who gave the track its very first play aboard the ISS.

The group also discussed the similarities between life on tour and life on the ISS, the fragility of Earth, and whether they’ve spotted any aliens up in space.
