UK theater reporter Baz Bamigboye says that Eddie will be playing the Emcee, a role he has “long dreamed of playing,” alongside Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles. The show is expected to begin performances in November 2021.

Cabaret was most recently revived on Broadway in 2014 with Alan Cumming reprising his Tony-winning work as the Emcee alongside Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles. Emma Stone and Sienna Miller also appeared as Sally during the show’s run on Broadway.

Eddie is no stranger to musicals as he starred in the Les Miserables movie. Jessie got her start while appearing in musicals in the West End and she’s best known for starring in movies like Wild Rose and I’m Thinking of Ending Things, as well as shows like Chernobyl and season four of Fargo.
