Gabourey Sidibe to Make Directorial Debut With Exciting Thriller!

Gabourey Sidibe has lined up her next project!

The 38-year-old Oscar-nominated actress will be making her directorial debut with the upcoming thriller Pale Horses, which is scheduled to begin production this fall, Deadline reports.

Here’s the synopsis: “Set in the Pacific Northwest, Pale Horse follows Naia, an esteemed, yet reclusive African-American YA book author who is living with MS. When Naia decides to shelter the man who escaped captivity with her long-missing brother, she finds herself caught up in a diabolical mystery.”

Asabi Lee and Paul Hart-Wilden will be co-writing the script, which is based on a story by Chris Courtney Martin.

Gabourey rose to fame with her Oscar-nominated role in the 2009 movie Precious. Since then, she has appeared in several seasons of American Horror Story and had a recurring role in Fox’s series Empire.
