Anya Taylor-Joy Pokes Fun at Her 'Queen's Gambit' Character During 'Saturday Night Live' Monologue - Watch!

Anya Taylor-Joy is making her Saturday Night Live debut!

On Saturday (May 22), the 25-year-old Golden Globe winner hosted the season finale of the hit NBC sketch comedy series.

In her opening monologue, Anya poked fun at her The Queen’s Gambit character Beth Harmon’s drug use.

“Queen’s Gambit really helped me prepare for SNL — if I get nervous, I’ll just take a handful of green pills and follow the cue cards,” Anya said.

Then, like her character Beth after taking her tranquilizers, Anya looked up at the ceiling and watched as the cue cards and SNL cast members move across a chess board.

“Ok if you say that, that means you’ve done drugs too,” Anya joked.
