Coldplay's New 'Higher Power' Music Video Will Give You 'Flash' & 'Doctor Strange' Vibes!

Coldplay‘s Chris Martin darts through an alien landscape at a remarkable speed in the band’s new music video for “Higher Power”.

Director Dave Meyers opened up about the sci-fi vibes the visual give off, and dished about the dancing aliens, too.

Dave revealed that the video takes place on the planet Kaotica and takes inspiration from The Terminator, Blade Runner, and The Fifth Element.

You might even get a few The Flash and Doctor Strange vibes, too.

Seoul’s Ambiguous Dance Company appear as the dancing aliens in the video.

“The video is a metaphor for how, right now, we all feel alienated, far removed from our world, almost like we’re on an alien planet,” Dave shared in a statement. “And ultimately we find love in the streets and that euphoria shoots us off into the stratosphere of our own energy and higher power.”

Speaking to PopCrush, Chris also confirmed he’s a believer in aliens.

“100 percent. I don’t know about UFOs here, but I’m entirely sure there’s lots of other life [out there],” he said. “The whole universe is full of life anyway, by its very existence I think.”
