ABC Is Taking Their Time Finding a Permanent Replacement for Chris Harrison, Source Says

According to an insider source, it may be a while before ABC replaces long-time Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

In case you missed it, Chris announced that he would be stepping away from the franchise after his controversial defense of a contestant who attended a plantation-themed party.

It was then confirmed that Bachelor in Paradise would temporarily be hosted by a series of rotating guest hosts, including David Space, Lance Bass, Tituss Burgess and Lil Jon.

An inside source spoke with Variety and shared what ABC has planned in terms of finding a permanent replacement for Chris.

According to the source, ABC isn’t rushing to find a replacement host.

The outlet writes that while its definitely a major position to fill, “the network has the luxury of time and isn’t in a major rush.”

They also added that “it’s likely” there won’t be an announcement about a permanent host until the upcoming season of The Bachelor, which starts production this fall and is set to premiere in January 2022.
