Loki brought in a viewership of 890,000 from U.S. households, according to SambaTV, marking “the largest US premier-day audience for any of Marvel’s Disney+ shows.”
It beats out The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, which began at 759,000, and WandaVision, which started at 655,00.
It also surpasses the 4-day premiere weekend of Cruella on Disney+, although that was only available to subscribers at $29.99.
“Clearly, the growing number of household tuning in on day 1 proves that the Marvel Disney+ series are growing in momentum,” the report noted.
SambaTV measures streaming viewership in 3 million Smart terrestrial TV households for at least five minutes. As Variety pointed out, SambaTV’s numbers don’t tell the entire story however since they don’t include mobile viewers, so there will likely be a more official tally on the way.
Loki also unraveled one of history’s biggest mysteries – D.B. Cooper.
