Ashley Tisdale Loves the Woman Dancing Behind Her During Macy's Parade Performance!

Ashley Tisdale was one of the performers in the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and she had some unexpected help in the form of a dancer in the audience!

The 33-year-old singer performed her song “Voices in My Head” during the event on Thursday (November 22) in New York City.

When the camera was fixed to one specific angle, you could see a woman showing off her dance moves in the background… and Ashley loved it!

“I love this girl!” Ashley tweeted. She later added, “I think she stole the performance!”

FYI: Ashley is wearing UGG cold weather accessories.

Chrissy Teigen Gets Trolled by Macy's for Once Throwing Shade at Parades

The Macy’s Twitter account trolled Chrissy Teigen on Thanksgiving morning by digging up an old tweet of hers that threw shade at people who watched parades.

The reason for the tweet… Chrissy‘s husband John Legend was one of the performers at the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday (November 22) in New York City!

Back in 2014, Chrissy tweeted, “imagine being bored enough to watch a parade on television.”

Macy’s tweeted a side-by-side of that tweet and the announcement that John would be performing in the parade.

John quoted that tweet and wrote, “Hahahahaha perfect.” Chrissy responded, “damn Macys a savage (still didn’t watch) I’m sure ya did great kiddo.”

Later, Chrissy ended up watching the parade after all!

Kelly Clarkson Breaks Tradition & Sings Live at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2018 (Video)

Kelly Clarkson is one of the only singers who performed live during the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The 36-year-old entertainer broke from tradition and gave live vocals for her “Heat” performance at the event on Thursday morning (November 22) in New York City.

“I’m thankful I get to perform on the coldest freaking Thanksgiving ever… live!” Kelly jokingly said while walking up to the stage in Herald Square.

Kelly performed on the stage in front of Macy’s and not on a float as most performers do. She said her The Voice contestant Brynn Cartelli also sang live. Performers usually lip sync during the event due to the cold weather and other logistical factors, but these two went ahead and sang live!

“Umm, I don’t know if y’all know this, but that was live!” Kelly said on her Instagram Story. “Brynn Cartelli, thank you. Singing in this cold weather with me. It’s so cold in New York. I just wanted y’all to know, you probably all thought that sounded so good from Brynn Cartelli, but that was live as well. So Brynn Cartelli was rocking those runs this morning. I didn’t even give those runs this morning. I was like, nope!”

John Legend and Rita Ora both took to Twitter to explain why they did not sing live during the parade.

John Legend & Rita Ora Explain Why Singers Lip Sync at Thanksgiving Day Parade

John Legend and Rita Ora are all smiles while riding on floats during the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday (November 22) in New York City.

The singers both faced criticism online for lip syncing during their performances at the parade, but they took to Twitter to explain why they didn’t sing live.

“Fun fact. We all have to lip sync on this parade because the floats don’t have the capacity to handle the sound requirements for a live performance. Hope y’all enjoyed it anyway. Know that if you come to my shows, the vocals are 100% live!” John tweeted.

Rita quotes John‘s tweet and added, “Fun fact @johnlegend thank you for clarifying what I was about to also tweet. It’s annoying for us but anyway! All my shows are 100 percent live always have been! When you come to a ORA show get ready! Back to holidays! Have a good one guys! :) X.”

Macy’s also released a statement saying that there were technical difficulties during that “negatively impacted” several recording artists’ performances.

Diana Ross & Her Whole Family Ride a Float During Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Diana Ross shows off her all white outfit while stopping by the Diana Ross Playground in Central Park during the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday (November 22) in New York City.

The legendary entertainer was joined by her entire family while riding a float in the parade. Along for the ride were kids Tracee Ellis Ross and Evan Ross with wife Ashlee Simpson, among others.

Ashlee and Evan brought along her 10-year-old son Bronx and their three-year-old daughter Jagger for the festivities.

It’s no secret that singers lip sync during the parade, but Diana didn’t even try to hide it as she didn’t bother holding a microphone during her performance of “Wonderful Christmastime.”

FYI: Ashlee and Evan are wearing DROMe coats.
