Natasha Lyonne and Chloe Sevigny pose together on the red carpet at the 2019 IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (December 2) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Natasha‘s Netflix show Russian Doll was nominated for Breakthrough Series – Short Format, but the award went to Hulu’s PEN15.

Waves co-stars Renee Elise Goldsberry and Kelvin Harrison Jr. were both at the event and Kelvin went on stage to accept Taylor Russell‘s Breakthrough Actor award as she wasn’t able to attend.

Renee also met up with her former Hamilton co-star Daveed Diggs, who was a presenter.

More stars at the event included Vera Farmiga, Uma Thurman with designer Zac Posen, Richard Jewell actor Paul Walter Hauser, married couple Carrie Coon and Tracy Letts, Honey Boy director Alma Har’el and star Byron Bowers, Paul Sparks and Annie Parisse, Djimon Hounsou, Aisha Tyler, and playwright Jeremy O. Harris.

Adam Driver and Awkwafina were the big winners of the acting prizes at the 2019 IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (December 2) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Adam picked up Best Actor for his work in Marriage Story while Awkwafina won Best Actress for The Farewell.

Marriage Story also won the awards for Best Feature, Best Screenplay, and the Audience Award.

Also in attendance at the event were Best Actor nominees Willem Dafoe for The Lighthouse, Aldis Hodge for Clemency, Andre Holland for High Flying Bird, and Adam Sandler for Uncut Gems. The other Best Actress nominees in attendance were Elisabeth Moss for Her Smell, Mary Kay Place for Diane, and Alfre Woodard for Clemency.

Taylor Russell won the award for Breakthrough Actor for Waves, though she wasn’t in attendance to accept. Other nominees who were there included Julia Fox for Uncut Gems, Chris Galust for Give Me Liberty, Noah Jupe for Honey Boy, and Jonathan Majors for The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

Sam Rockwell shows off his trophy in the press room at the 2019 IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (December 2) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The 51-year-old Oscar-winning actor received a special Tribute Award at the event. Other recipients of Tribute Awards included Laura Dern and filmmaker Ava DuVernay, who posed for a photo together inside the event.

Laura was joined at the event by the directors of her two movies this season, Little Women‘s Greta Gerwig and Marriage Story‘s Noah Baumbach. The two directors just so happen to be partners in real life!

Noah won the award for Best Screenplay and Marriage Story took home the Audience Award.

Laura also posed with her kids Ellery and Jaya on the red carpet!

The ladies were joined at the event by Hustlers co-stars Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, and Julia Stiles, as well as director Lorene Scafaria and producer Will Ferrell.

Hustlers is nominated for Best Feature this year alongside The Farewell, Uncut Gems, Waves, and Marriage Story. The Gotham Awards honor the best in independent film!

Olivia Wilde is joined by her partner Jason Sudeikis on the red carpet at the 2019 IFP Gotham Independent Film Awards on Monday (December 2) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The 35-year-old filmmaker is nominated for Breakthrough Director for her work on the movie Booksmart. She received support from cast members Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein, and Molly Gordon at the event!

Also nominated in the category are The Mustang‘s Laure De Clermont-Tonnerre, Diane‘s Kent Jones, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco‘s Joe Talbot.
