Also in attendance at the event were Nia Long, as well as the legendary Sophia Loren with her daughter-in-law Sasha Alexander. Regina was joined at the event Damon Lindelof, the executive producer of her new HBO series Watchmen.

The Governors Awards, which is organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, is the official start of awards season.

Tom Hanks, Christian Bale, and Edward Norton step out for the 2019 Governors Awards on Sunday night (October 27) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

The guys all were in attendance to help kick off awards season!

Tom was joined at the event by his A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood co-star Matthew Rhys and director Marianne Heller.

Christian was there to help present an Honorary Oscar to his friend Wes Studi. His Ford v Ferrari co-star Josh Lucas was also there.

More stars in attendance included Motherless Brooklyn‘s Edward Norton (with wife Shauna Robertson) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The Queen & Slim co-stars were joined at the event by the film’s writer Lena Waithe and director Melina Matsoukas.

Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx share the stage while attending the 2019 Governors Awards on Sunday night (October 27) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Jamie kicked off the event by welcoming the crowd and doing shout-outs to people in the audience… and he called Eddie up on stage without having anything planned!

Eddie was at the event to promote his Netflix movie Dolemite Is My Name alongside co-star Da’Vine Joy Randolph while Jamie promoted his movie Just Mercy with co-star Karan Kendrick.

Also in attendance were Pain and Glory‘s Antonio Banderas with his director Pedro Almodovar, Don’t Let Go‘s David Oyelowo, The Irishman‘s Harvey Keitel, and Parasite director Bong Joon-ho.

The 30-year-old actress looked pretty in a white crop top and dramatic, white skirt as she attended the event alongside her Peanut Butter Falcon co-star Zack Gottsagen.

Also stepping out for the event was Shia LaBeouf and his Honey Boy co-star Noah Jupe.

Shia starred in both Peanut Butter Falcon and Honey Boy.

Taron Egerton and Jamie Bell look so dapper on the red carpet at the 2019 Governors Awards on Sunday night (October 27) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

The event is the official launch of awards season and all of the stars from movies that are seeking nominations often attend!

Taron and Jamie starred together in the Elton John biopic Rocketman. Jamie was joined at the event by his wife Kate Mara.

Chrissy Metz was joined at the event by songwriter Diane Warren, who wrote the song “I’m Standing With You” for her movie Breakthrough. They’re definitely hoping for a Best Original Song nomination this year!

Uncut Gems stars Adam Sandler (with wife Jackie) and Idina Menzel were also at the event.
