“To the Television Academy — how dare you. I really can’t stress enough how much of a threat this nomination is to my current quarantine brand of pasta and sad,” she said.

“In the Time Before, being born with a healthy protective emotional wall missing meant I got to channel that into pretend time in exchange for health insurance and claps,” she went on to say.

“Today, apparently here in the apocalypse, these skills were about as meaningful as a worm’s hymn in a canyon. I’d like to thank the cast and crew, and the Academy, and seasonal depression, and honestly Nathan Lane, and before this nomination phoenixes me out of mediocrity and I explode into ribbons just real quick the cops who killed Breonna Taylor still have not been arrested.”

She was previously nominated in 2018 and 2019 for the category in the same role.

'Pose' Stars Indya Moore & Angelica Ross React To Emmy Snubs

After the 2020 Emmy Awards nominations were announced this morning, many fans noticed a few worthy names that were left off the list – particularly in Pose stars Angelica Ross and Indya Moore.

The two actresses took to social media to address the issue with their fans, who called out the Television Academy for not including them on the list.

“I didn’t invent the academy or any of the award shows,” Indya wrote on Twitter. “If they think my work is unworthy Chile that’s just that. … Imagine if we depended on cis ppl to validate anything about us.”

Meanwhile Angelica was more emotional during an Instagram live while speaking of the awards and first explained that her tears were “not about an award or nominees” but more about a bigger issue.

“Ultimately, I need you to understand that I am so tired,” she shared. “Because those of you that know me know that I’m not just working in front of the screen or behind the lens or whatever. I’m working around the clock to get our society to value trans lives and Black trans lives. And listen, I feel what I feel because I feel like there is nothing we can do.”

Angelica added, “I feel what I feel because I feel there is nothing we can do.”

Emmys 2020: 15 Biggest Snubs & Surprises from the Nominations

The nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards were announced today and there were plenty of snubs and surprises.

Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon was eligible for acting in three different series and she didn’t get nominated for any of them, which was a big shock to lots of fans.

One of the big surprises this year was Zendaya getting a Best Actress nomination for her work on the HBO series Euphoria.

There’s a major reason why so many snubs are happening this time around. The Emmys had a big rule change this year that limited the amount of nominees in the Leading Actor categories to just six actors, instead of the previous eight.
