The hosts of The Today Show are paying tribute to the musicals of Broadway with their Halloween costumes this year!

The show’s hosts dressed up on Friday (October 30) at their studio at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb went as Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dryer were Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart from Chicago, Jenna Bush Hager was Grizabella from Cats, and Craig Melvin and Al Roker were Alexander Hamilton and King George III from Hamilton.

Sheinelle and Dylan did a fully choreographed routine to the “Hot Honey Rag” from Chicago while the other stars all lip-synced to songs from their musicals.

Broadway is shut down right now, so this was the perfect way to pay tribute to the shows of the Great White Way while we can’t see them live.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have a huge celeb fan in Ciara.

For this year’s Halloween holiday, the 35-year-old singer not only recreated Cardi‘s Invasion of Privacy album cover, and recruited her eldest son, Future, to play Offset, but she also recreated Megan‘s Girl in the Hood album too!

“CARDI. Swipe to the right for a Surprise. 😎 #Halloween,” Ciara wrote, surprising her fans with the first reveal earlier today.

Cardi reacted to the costume, too: “I’m gagging! I love it! I’m so hype! I’ve always been a huge fan of @ciara and became an even bigger fan after I met her! She is the most sweetest and the most nicest person in the world! A true peach! Staying sweet and humble was the prayer!”

Then, later on, Ciara popped up the pics of her recreating Megan‘s album cover.

Megan responded in the comments to her, “I Love you 😭😭😭.”

Chrissy Teigen went all out for her Halloween costume this year.

The 34-year-old model and cookbook author showed off her completed look after sharing a getting ready image earlier in the day.

After a full day of getting ready, Chrissy debuted her Black Swan movie and stage inspired costume, alongside her stylist Alana Van Deraa, who embodied the dark side of the character.

In one of her video on Twitter, Chrissy can be seen carrying a full tray of food down some stairs as husband John Legend filmed her.

John, it looks like, was dressed up as Spider-Man!

Heidi Klum is sharing a sneak peek of her costumer for Halloween 2020!

The 47-year-old model and AGT judge shared several teasers on her Instagram account of not just one, but TWO costumes she’ll be wearing this year.

“Ok guys HERE 🎃 WE 🎃 GO! The #HeidiHalloween2020 Spooktacular starts NOW! 👻🕷🕸🦇🧛🏻‍♀️🧟‍♀️,” Heidi first shared on her account, with a short video of her on a mattress inside a garage unit where she was getting painted up for her first costume.

She added a hint about this one in her next post, writing, “First you see me, now you don’t! 👻👻👻 The transformation begins… #HeidiHalloween2020.”

In her next costume, it was much different than her first, but Heidi was still getting painted up by a team of pros.

“On to the next look … and doing my best to blend in! 🎃👻,” she wrote with a close up before adding the time lapse video of her transformation.

The hosts and their guests all dressed up as characters from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Carrie Ann Inaba suited up as the title character Willy Wonka while her co-hosts were all golden ticket winners – Sharon Osbourne as Veruca Salt, Sheryl Underwood as Violet Beauregarde, and Eve as Mike Teavee, appropriately on a TV screen.

Jason Ritter played Charlie Bucket while appearing as a guest. Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin McGraw sat in bed for their interview while dressed as Grandpa Joe and Grandma Josephine. Criminal Minds actor Matthew Gray Gubler was in an Augustus Gloop outfit and chef Antonia Lofaso was in costume as Slugworth.

Debbie Gibson appeared on the show to perform “The Candy Man” from the movie!

Kelly Clarkson is getting into the Halloween spirit with a costume inspired by Meryl Streep‘s character in the cult classic movie Death Becomes Her!

The 38-year-old singer descended from a staircase while singing a cover of “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees to kick off the Halloween episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, which aired on Friday (October 30).

Kelly met Meryl for the first time while on the red carpet at the Golden Globes in 2018.

She later told Ryan Seacrest of that moment, “She totally is freaked out by me. She was like you can meet us all! I don’t care. I love the moment, I love her.”

Ellen DeGeneres dressed up for Halloween for her talk show’s latest episode and she dressed up as her favorite superhero: a nurse!

The 62-year-old talk show host was joined on the show by her DJ and co-producer tWitch, who traveled back to the ’70s with his costume.

“I’m dressed as my favorite superhero. I’m a nurse. I think all nurses are superheroes. Their superpower is going 48 hours without sleep. That’s one of their superpowers,” Ellen said during her monologue. “Now more than ever, we are realizing who the true superheroes are, people like nurses and teachers. They’re all essential workers. They’re true celebrities.”

She continued, “What we should do – we should give them awards. We should be putting them on the cover of magazines. Teenagers should have posters of them hanging up in their rooms to practice kissing on. I like that we’ve redefined what jobs are really heroic. That’s why I’m wearing a cape.”

Despite the pandemic, Ellen was able to continue one of her favorite Halloween traditions!
