Fox has made the difficult decision to cancel their upcoming New Year’s Eve 2022 celebration, New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022.

The decision comes as cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 continue.

“While we are confident in the health and safety protocols for Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022, the recent velocity of the spread of Omicron cases has made it impossible to produce a live special in Times Square that meets our standards,” the network announced in a statement, via Deadline.

It adds, “We will not be moving forward with Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022 in New York. The health and safety of our casts and crews has always been, and will continue to be, of the utmost importance.”

The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong and Lego Masters‘ host Joel McHale were set to host the special.

Fox did say that another program will air in the vacancy, but has not announced what that will be just yet.

Many other things have been cancelled or rescheduled due to the Omicron strain of COVID-19.

Amber, 37, took to her Instagram to share a video while dancing and singing in festive hats with America, 36.

“We laughed. We cried. We shared a pod. And got our kids down by 8pm,” Amber captioned the post. “And ate pizza and brownies. And drank a considerable amount of cocktails. And threw ourselves a prom in the storage unit of our basement so we wouldn’t wake up said kids.”

America also shared a few photos of herself partying in her basement right before the clock struck midnight.

“1 hour left 2020!!! Then you gots to get the steppin!” America wrote on Instagram. “Happy New Year from our basement dance party 😘”

After starring in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants back in 2005 and the sequel in 2008, America and Amber have stayed super close with their co-stars Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel and still hang out all the time.

She said, “He basically said to his girlfriend, ‘Here’s my credit card, go crazy and make sure you get some cannoli,’ and he went back out and got in the back of the car. He had the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen in my life.”

The 31-year-old Jonas Brothers singer and the 24-year-old Game of Thrones actress took to their Instagram accounts on Thursday night (December 31) to share a couple photos from their NYE celebrations.

In one photo, Sophie sits on her couch while looking cool in a black and white top as she sits with the couple’s three dogs.

The 35-year-old cookbook author took to her Instagram on Thursday night (December 31) to share a bunch of photos and videos while celebrating NYE with hubby John Legend and their married friends hair stylist Jen Atkin and photographer Mike Rosenthal.

Chrissy also shared a video of herself peeling an apple while John played a board game with Jen.
