Rami Malek and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will both be involved in scripted podcasts that are in the works!

Rami is set to reprise his role in season two of the apocalyptic thriller podcast Blackout, which is made by QCode. He plays “Simon Itani, a small-town radio DJ fighting to protect his family and community after the power grid goes down nationwide, upending modern civilization.”

Deadline reports that Aja Naomi King will be joining the cast for season two and a TV series based on the podcast is in the works. It’s not yet know if Rami will be involved in that project.

The first season of Blackout has been downloaded more than 12 million times!

Nikolaj was just cast in the podcast Mask of Sanity, which will stream on Audible later this year. The podcast is “a serial killer story based on a true story from Bulgarian journalist, Dimiter Kenarov,” according to Deadline.

The Game of Thrones alum is co-producing the podcast, which “follows the story of a journalist reporting on a serial killer, but with a secret of his own.”

Aja Naomi King has exciting news!

The 36-year-old How to Get Away With Murder star revealed she’s pregnant on Thursday (March 11) with an Instagram post showcasing her baby bump.

“I really can’t begin to express the fullness of our immense joy to be welcoming a baby into our family. With that I also want to express that this beautiful journey has not been devoid of heartbreak. This is my beautiful little rainbow baby,” she wrote.

“I’ve been so deeply moved by the women who have openly shared their miscarriages. It brought me solace in a time that was incredibly painful to know I wasn’t alone. To understand that this experience is common, horrible but still common. I suffered two miscarriages and even now trying to capture what it felt like in words is simply absurd to me because I will never have language enough for it.”

“At first I wasn’t sure about sharing my experience because I felt like so many other people had way worse experiences than I did, but I realized that I can’t treat pain like an Olympic sport, as if it’s a competition and only those who have the worst stories win the right to talk about it. No matter the size of it in your mind, pain is pain and loss is loss, whatever the degree. And once you are touched by it, it stays with you forever,” she continued.

“I won’t lie, it’s been hard to not carry my fear with me throughout this pregnancy. To believe that it’s real and that this baby will be okay. That this beautiful gift will remain. But I try to not ignore the facts, and the facts are that I am healthy and my baby is healthy, my baby is growing and now kicking and constantly reminding me of their very real presence within me.”

“I really just want to say that if you’ve gone through this or are going through this, you don’t have to carry the weight of it alone. And for some (I won’t attempt to speak for everyone) it can be freeing. So I take this piece of freedom and I hope for someone else it allows them to feel a little less alone. Sending love always,” she concluded.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock is hitting the big screen!

The 29-year-old Little Mix star has her first film role in Boxing Day, a UK-based Christmas romantic comedy from Aml Ameen in his directorial debut, Deadline reported Tuesday (November 24).

How to Get Away with Murder alum Aja Naomi King and Marianne Jean-Baptiste will also star.

The story is inspired by the diary of Aml‘s life, and is said to be the first UK holiday film featuring an all-black cast.

Here’s a plot summary: Melvin (Ameen), a British author living in America, returns home to London for Christmas to introduce his American fiancée Lisa (King) to his eccentric British-Caribbean family. Their relationship is put to the test, as she discovers the world her fiancé has left behind.

“It is such an honour to be teaming up with Warner Bros. Pictures, Film4 and BFI to bring Black British Culture to the world in this universal holiday rom-com. It’s long been a dream of mine to capture films that reflect the wonderfully multi-cultural city that raised me while sharing stories from the diary of my life,” says Aml Ameen.
