Alana Mayo is filing for divorce from Lena Waithe.

The 35-year-old former partner of the 36-year-old producer and Master of None actress filed paperwork for divorce about 10 months after the two split in January, ET confirmed Sunday (November 22).

The news also comes about one year after Lena revealed they were married.

The divorce was filed in Los Angeles on Friday (November 20).

They previously issued a statement about their split at the beginning of the year to the outlet.

“After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time,” they said.

Lena and Alana got engaged in 2017, before they said “I do” in a small courthouse wedding.

All of these couples also split in 2020.

It might be over for Lena Waithe and her wife, Alana Mayo, according to a new report.

E! News is reporting that the couple, who married late last year, have ended their marriage.

“After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways,” a joint statement from their reps was shared on the site.

It continued, “We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”

Lena and Alana got engaged in 2017, before they said “I do” in a small courthouse wedding.

The 35-year-old Queen & Slim screenwriter stopped by Ellen with guest host John Legend to reveal that she and Alana Mayo had secretly married.

“We snuck and did it. We didn’t really make any announcements,” Lena revealed. “We went to San Francisco, we went to the courthouse and we got married right in front of Harvey Milk’s bust.”

“And it was her idea, like all good things are,” Lena continued. “And we were driving and she was like, ‘we should get married at that courthouse.’ And I said, ‘cool lets do it.’”

Lena and Alana have been together for several years and got engaged on Thanksgiving Day 2017.

The 48-year-old Empire actress, the 46-year-old Instant Family star, and the 33-year-old “Make Me Feel” singer all stepped out for the event held on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

They were joined by Master of None star Lena Waithe, who brought along fiancee Alana Mayo.

All four of them served as presenters during the show.

Octavia was an executive producer on Green Book, which won Best Musical or Comedy.

Lena Waithe hits the red carpet with fiancee Alana Mayo at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Saturday (June 16) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 34-year-old actress/producer is being honored at the awards show with the Trailblazer Award for introducing new and unique voices within the entertainment industry.
