Storm Reid, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney walk the red carpet at the premiere of their HBO series Euphoria on Tuesday (June 4) at the Arclight’s Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.

The show’s star Zendaya was at the event and she was also joined by co-stars Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Algee Smith, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, and Hunter Schafer, among others.

Euphoria premieres on June 16 and it follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media.

Amandla will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress Award” during the ceremony, while John will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor Award.”

Amandla‘s The Hate U Give co-stars Algee Smith and Russell Hornsby was also in attendance at the event.

The Hollywood Film Awards have been held annually since 1997.

The day before, Amandla joined their director George Tillman Jr and festival Board of Directors co-chair Randy Mastro as they presented the new movie on the second day of the film fest.

The Hate U Give is getting rave reviews and it currently has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Amandla is getting a lot of love from critics, including this line from Rolling Stone: “It is impossible to over-praise Stenberg’s incandescent performance, a gathering storm that grows in ferocity and feeling with each scene. Stenberg nails every nuance of a role that keeps throwing challenges at her.”

Make sure to see the movie when it hits theaters in limited release this weekend and nationwide on October 19.

The two stars of the film met up with co-stars Kai N. Ture, TJ Wright, Lamar Johnson, Karan Kendrick, Bobby Sessions, and Algee Smith, along with author Angie Thomas, and director George Tillman Jr. for the screening.

It was just announced that 20th Century Fox Film and AMC Theatres are partnering together to give underserved and underrepresented young people across the country the opportunity to see The Hate U Give.

Free screenings will be hosted at 11 AM local time THIS Saturday, October 6th. The nine metro areas hosting the free screenings include Atlanta, Ga., Baltimore, Md., Dallas, Texas, Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, Calif., Miami, Fla., New York, N.Y., Philadelphia, Pa., and Washington, DC.

These limited release screenings will be a launching pad for a campaign to bring up to 50 screenings to communities around the country and amplify the film’s call for youth to find their voice and change the world. Schools, community groups and nonprofit organizations can apply for free screenings HERE. Applications are due Oct. 22, and winners will be selected by Oct. 31.

Individuals interested in supporting screenings for classrooms around the country can contribute via DonorsChoose.org. Parent company 21st Century Fox will match donations up to $25,000.

The Hate U Give opens nationwide on Friday, October 5th.
