The official trailer for Gretel & Hansel is here, and it’s truly creepy.

The new footage dropped on Thursday (January 2).

Here’s the synopsis: “A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.”

From director Osgood “Oz” Perkins, the film stars Sophia Lillis, newcomer Sammy Leakey, Alice Krige, Jessica De Gouw, and Charles Babalola.

Gretel & Hansel hits theaters on January 31.
