The nominations for the 2023 Tony Awards were announced this week and every actor who is nominated for their performance in a musical showed up for the Meet the Nominees event!

Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban, Ben Platt, and Alex Newell were among the stars in attendance at the event on Thursday morning (May 4) at the Sofitel Hotel in New York City.

The Tonys will take place on Sunday, June 11 and we can’t wait to see Broadway’s best highlighted throughout the show.

The Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd is officially open!

Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford hit the red carpet at the opening night performance on Sunday (March 26) at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City.

They were joined by co-stars Jordan Fisher, Gaten Matarazzo, Ruthie Ann Miles, Maria Bilbao, Nicholas Christopher, Jamie Jackson, and John Rapson.

Here is the synopsis, via Playbill: “After 15 years in exile, Sweeney Todd, an unsettling man with a mysterious past, arrives in a dark and gritty London, hungry for vengeance against the judge who destroyed his life. Todd joins forces with Mrs. Lovett, the unhinged proprietress of a failing pie shop, and together they develop a spinetingling plot to exact revenge. When the lights go down and the curtain goes up, you won’t dare look away.”

The classic musical by the late Stephen Sondheim is now running through at least January 2024. Get tickets today!

Kumail Nanjiani is stepping out for the premiere of his new Hulu series.

The 44-year-old actor had the support of wife Emily V. Gordon on the red carpet at the premiere of Welcome to Chippendales held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Murray Bartlett, Annaleigh Ashford, Nicola Peltz and husband Brooklyn Beckham, Juliette Lewis, Robin de Jesus, and Spencer Boldman.

Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford are heading to Broadway.

On Tuesday (September 6), Deadline confirmed that the two stars would be leading a new production of the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler classic musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

It had previously been reported that Josh and Annaleigh had joined the cast after Ticketmaster leaked the news on Monday.

The classic musical Sweeney Todd is coming back to Broadway next year and it appears that Ticketmaster has leaked the official news.

Rumors have been swirling for months that Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford will lead the revival of Stephen Sondheim‘s beloved show. Now, it appears the news has been confirmed.

Ticketmaster has listed ticket links for the Sweeney Todd revival and pre-sale tickets are going on sale in a matter of hours. Performances will begin on February 26, 2023 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City, according to the ticket website. When tickets go on sale, they will be available through September 10, 2023.

Mira Sorvino towers above her co-stars at the Impeachment: American Crime Story FYC Event held at El Capitan Theatre on Friday (June 10) in Los Angeles.

The 54-year-old actress joined Annaleigh Ashford, Judith Light, Sarah Paulson, and Margo Martindale on the blue carpet, alongside showrunner Sarah Burgess and Monica Lewinsky.

In the third installment of the anthology series, Impeachment: American Crime Story centers on the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century as told through the eyes of Monica Lewinsky (played by Beanie Feldstein), Linda Tripp (Paulson) and Paula Jones (Ashford).

Lots of stars were in attendance at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards on Monday (February 28) at Avalon in Hollywood.

Ariana DeBose hit the stage during the event to accept the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in West Side Story. Her co-star Brian d’Arcy James was in attendance as well.

Presenters at the event included Dopesick actress Kaitlyn Dever, Nightmare Alley‘s Ron Perlman, Uncharted‘s Sophia Ali, The Umbrella Academy‘s Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Cha Cha Real Smooth actor Cooper Raiff.

Encanto star Stephanie Beatriz was there to accept her award for Best Animated or VSX Performance.

Nicolas Cage received the Acting Achievement Award, which was presented to him by Pig co-star Alex Wolff.

Javier Bardem was there to receive his International Icon Award. Natalie Morales received the Filmmaker on the Rise award.

King Richard‘s Aunjanue Ellis and her on-screen daughters Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton all attended. Aunjanue received the Inspire Award, which Demi presented to her. Saniyya was honored with the Star on the Rise award, which was presented by the film’s director.
