Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae are enjoying a day out on their joint birthdays!

The married couple left their hotel as they stepped out for the day on Tuesday afternoon (April 16) in New York City.

For their outing, Anya wore leather jacket over a white tank shirt paired with jeans while Malcolm coordinated in a leather jacket, black turtleneck, and jeans.

Tuesday also happened to be both Anya and Malcolm‘s birthdays. Anya turned 28 and Malcolm turned 30.

In honor of their birthdays, the couple celebrated by breaking glasses at the Break Bar.

Anya Taylor-Joy wears a Mad Max inspired look while stepping out for the Warner Bros presentation at 2024 CinemaCon held at Caesars Palace on Tuesday (April 9) in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old actress joined her co-star Chris Hemsworth and director George Miller as they unveiled an extended first look at their upcoming prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

“To tell the story of Mad Max, we had to know where every vehicle, every character, every prop, every gesture came from,” George shared on stage, via Deadline. “We wrote backstories of Furiosa overall these years and Mad Max the year before. When Fury Road had enough traction, we figured we had to do Furiosa.”

George also dished on casting Anya as the young Furiosa, who was played by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road.

With Dune: Part Two being such a success in theaters, it seems to be a no-brainer that we’ll be getting Dune 3 in the future.

Director Denis Villeneuve has revealed that he’s already writing the third movie, based on the novel Dune: Messiah.

“The screenplay’s in progress,” he told Vanity Fair. “I’m very happy where it’s going, but it’s not finished, and I don’t know how healthy it’ll be to go straight to ‘Messiah’ right away. It would be healthy to do something in between.”

“I want to make sure that if we go back there a third time that it’ll be worth it, and that it would make something even better than Part Two,” he added.

A report on April 4 revealed that the movie is actively in development.

If and when the movie is made, we can expect that a bunch of actors will return to reprise their roles, but we already know that some others likely won’t be back. This post contains spoilers for Part Two, so stop reading now if you haven’t seen it yet.

Anya Taylor Joy confirmed she got married in secret!

The 27-year-old actress confirmed she wed musician Malcolm McRae on April Fool’s Day back in 2022.

We first got word that they possibly married back in 2022, and then there were photos of what seems to be a second wedding celebration from October of 2023. Now, Anya is confirming that they did say “I do” back in 2022.
