It takes an incredible amount of talent to make it in the music industry, but it takes so much more to find crossover success in the acting world.

Of course, so many of music’s biggest stars have pulled it off. Take Jennifer Lopez for example. She’s just as well known for her floor-filling chart-toppers as for her blockbuster movies!

However, just like any other actor in Hollywood, even the most talented pop star actor isn’t going to get every part they audition for.

That was the case for these 17 pop stars who auditioned for parts in critically acclaimed movies but didn’t get the role. We pulled together everything we know about each audition, including who ultimately got the part.

Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression), via Mayo Clinic.

In an effort to increase awareness and eliminate the stigma surrounding the diagnosis and mental health in general, several stars have revealed their diagnoses, helping to encourage others to seek treatment, understand the signs and symptoms, and take care of themselves and others in the process.

Karol G and so many more stars were honored on Wednesday night (march 6) at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music event!

Fresh of her historic win at the 2024 Grammys in February, Karol was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.

Bebe Rexha took to social media to clear the air about the 2024 Grammys seating chart.

Ahead of the awards show on Sunday (February 4), there was some chatter online that implied the 34-year-old pop star would be sitting in a fold-out chair near the back of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

After the night was done, she made it clear that she actually had one of the best seats in the house.

Clive Davis always throws the most star-studded party during Grammys Weekend every year, and 2024 was no exception!

The legendary music mogul hosted the Pre-GRAMMY Gala & GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons on Saturday night (February 3) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Some of the celebs who walked the red carpet included Ice Spice, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lana Del Rey.

Legendary stars like Meryl Streep, Cher, Tom Hanks, and more were all there. It was a family affair for Meryl, whose son-in-law Mark Ronson is nominated for several awards at the Grammys this year. He was joined by wife Grace Gummer.

Sony Music Publishing Chairman and CEO Jon Platt was honored at the event.

Jon Bon Jovi got support from some very special people while attending the 2024 MusiCares Person Of The Year Honoring Jon Bon Jovi on Friday night (February 2) in Los Angeles.

The 61-year-old rock legend was joined by his wife Dorothea Hurley and daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Of course, his Bon Jovi bandmates were also by his side. As were a collection of music and Hollywood’s biggest stars.
