Brendan Fraser and Angela Bassett were among the big winners at the 2023 Hollywood Critics Association’s HCA Film Awards!

Brendan won the award for Best Actor while Angela won Best Supporting Actress during the awards show hosted by Tig Notaro held on Friday night (February 24) held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Other big winners of the night included Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s Ke Huy Quan, who won Best Supporting Actor, and Jenny Slate, who won the award for Best Voice or Motion-Capture Performance for her role in Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.

Everything Everywhere All at Once was the overall big winner of the night, taking home the awards for Best Picture, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, and Best Director Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.

Golden Onion: A Knives Out Mystery director Rian Johnson was also honored during the awards show with the Filmmaking Achievement Award.

Other stars in attendance included Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Terry Crews, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brittany Snow, Emily Hampshire, Lena Waithe, Teyana Taylor, Pom Klementieff, Harvey Guillen, and David Dastmalchian.

FYI: Kate is wearing a dress by Prabal Gurung. Madelyn is wearing an Armani Prive dress with Bvlgari jewelry. Brittany is wearing a Staud dress. Pom is wearing Alexander McQueen.

The stars are stepping out for W Magazine‘s big party!

The magazine hosted their 2023 Best Performances Party on Friday night (February 24) held at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Best Performance cover stars Austin Butler, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Russell, and Ana de Armas were all in attendance as well as W Best Performances feature stars Danielle Deadwyler, Kate Hudson, Aubrey Plaza, Diego Calva, Mia Goth, and Jeremy Pope.

Guests enjoyed Casamigos cocktails especially curated for the evening: a spicy cucumber jalapeno margarita and a grapefruit rosemary paloma.

Jenny Slate and Charlie Day hit the red carpet for the premiere of their new movie, I Want You Back, held at ROW DTLA, in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (February 8).

The two actors were joined by their co-stars in the flick including Manny Jacinto, Clark Backo, Gina Rodriguez, and Scott Eastwood, as well as Giselle Torres, Dylan Gelula, Mason Gooding, and Quinn Cooke.

Manny‘s wife Dianne Dion, and Charlie‘s wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, were also seen at the premiere.

I Want You Back centers on Peter (Day) and Emma (Slate), who thought they were on the precipice of life’s biggest moments – marriage, kids, and houses in the suburbs – until their respective partners dumped them.

Horrified to learn that the loves of their lives have already moved on, Peter and Emma hatch a hilarious plan to win back their exes with unexpected results.

The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, February 11.

In a new interview, the 39-year-old comedian and actress revealed that she and fiance Ben Shattuck very quietly tied the knot on New Year’s Eve.

Jenny Slate and Ben Shattuck are parents!

The 38-year-old actress told ET on Wednesday (February 3) that she has given birth to her first child, a baby girl named Ida Lupine.

Jenny explained that she and her fiance chose Ida because they “loved the name” and added Lupine as a reference to one of their favorite flowers.

She also told ET that she has been loving motherhood so far, especially because Ida is a “good sleeper.”

“Motherhood is the most meaningful thing that has ever happened to me,” Jenny said. “I feel really lucky.”

The comedian revealed she was expecting in December during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. She told Seth that it’s “very nice to have something that is incredibly positive during a time that’s hard and sad…it’s nice to have, like, a little secret treasure.”

The 38-year-old actress and comedian made the exciting reveal during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday (December 10).

During her appearance, she joked about what she’s been doing amid the pandemic.

“I hunkered down and baked a lot of bread but I just wanna say I might have baked too much bread or eaten too much bread — you tell me,” she said before showing off her baby bump.

“I don’t know if you can see,” she joked.

“It’s different. I feel different. Um, how have the exact last nine months been? They’ve been real pregnant for me!” she went on to say.

She also talked about her fiance and added that it’s been “very nice to have something that is incredibly positive during a time that’s hard and sad…it’s nice to have, like, a little secret treasure.”

As for how she’s spending her time, Jenny said she’s “basically been chilling out” and “doing exactly what [she has] wanted to do, not having to see anyone or figure out how to gracefully wear pants…I haven’t worn pants in many moons.”

“And just my luck, I moved in with my fiancé, and of course he lives in a very old house that is, I think, most certainly haunted and has an actual pet cemetery. It has been in my fiancé Ben‘s family since the ’30s, I think, so it’s like 90 years of pets,” she said.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, when I was just newly pregnant, I started to go out and visit the pet cemetery every day. And Ben told me I started saying things like, ‘I’m just gonna go outside and visit the pets. That’s how a scary movie starts — a pregnant lady is like, ‘My pets. My precious, precious pets,’” she hilariously noted.

Jenny Slate opened up about her postponed wedding during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and she revealed that she accidentally invited a random stranger to the event!

The 38-year-old actress is engaged to Ben Shattuck and they were planning on getting married at their house back in June, but the wedding has been postponed due to the pandemic.

Jenny and Ben decided to do email invites instead of paper ones, but she accidentally messed up one of the emails.

“I sent the email, and then I didn’t hear back from friend. I was like, ‘Hey, can you guys come to the wedding?’ And she was like, ‘Oh, we just thought maybe it was small and we weren’t invited. I was like, ‘No, you’re invited. Oh gosh, you know, check your spam.’ And then she was like, ‘Not in the spam.’ And when I looked back, I had messed up the name on the email by one letter,” she said.

Jenny added, “I’m not trying to assume that this lady is a fan or knows who I am, but if she does, she knows where I live and that we were going to get married at our house and blah blah blah. And then we sent a thing saying ‘Sorry, everybody! We’re not getting married.’ But I didn’t send it to her because I just felt so awkward about it.”

Jenny looked up the stranger and found that she likes to wear top hats in some of her pictures. She added, “So, on the day that we were supposed to get married, because I knew she hadn’t received the ‘sorry we’re not getting married anymore,’ I had this, like, weird fantasy she would show up.”
