'The Sinner' Set To Return For Season Four With Bill Pullman as Detective Harry Ambrose

USA Network has renewed The Sinner for a fourth season.

THR reports that the popular crime show, which is executive produced by Jessica Biel, will see the return of Bill Pullman as Detective Harry Ambrose.

Season four will center on Ambrose as he takes on a brand new “whydunit” case.

Derek Simonds will also be back as showrunner with Michelle Purple and Charlie Gogolak producing as well.

The Sinner has struck a chord with audiences with its signature ‘whydunit’’style,” Chris McCumber, president of USA Network and Syfy, shared in a statement. “In season four, we’re excited to dig even deeper into the psyche of Bill Pullman’s beloved Detective Ambrose character, while introducing our audience to a compelling, completely new mystery.”

If you missed it, Bill just recently revealed a little known fact about one of his most famous movies, Independence Day.

Bill Pullman Reveals The Original Title Of 'Independence Day' & How His Iconic Speech Changed It

Bill Pullman has revealed that one of his most well known movies, Independence Day, wasn’t originally called that.

The 66-year-old actor, who played President Thomas J. Whitmore, revealed that the original title was actually Doomsday.

“We shot that at night, of course, because it’s dark and not on a soundstage or anything,” Bill recalled in an interview with CinemaBlend of filming his iconic speech scene in the 1996 movie.

He continued, “It was really late, and it got moved into the schedule early, because Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich were in contention right then with Fox about the title. I think it was gonna be Doomsday. It’s what Fox wanted, and it was a title that was typical of the time [for a] disaster movie.”

“They [Devlin and Emmerich] really wanted Independence Day, so we had to make the speech really good. And then they cut it together, and a couple of nights later, Dean came to my trailer, and he said, ‘Do you wanna see it’? … So he popped in the VHS, he showed me the cut of the speech, and I went ‘Holy Mother, they have got to name this movie Independence Day’. And they did.”

Just recently, Bill called out the actual President, Donald Trump, for spreading a deepfake video where Trump‘s face was laid over his own, as if he was giving the speech and not Bill.
