Busy Philipps is sharing the terrifying details of what happened when her 15-year-old daughter Birdie experienced a seizure… while in a different country from her family.
Birdie, who is going by she/her pronouns again, attends boarding school in Sweden and she suffered the medical scare while away from her parents.
Busy was with her ex Marc Silverstein when they learned about the seizure on a FaceTime call with paramedics.

Busy Philipps is opening up to fans.
During the most recent episode of her podcast Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best on Thursday (December 31), the 41-year-old actress revealed that her eldest child Birdie, 12, is gay.
“For those of you who are my friends listening at home, this is the first you’re hearing that Birdie is gay and out,” Busy shared with her cohosts Shantira Jackson and Caissie St. Onge. “Birdie told us at 10 years old and we immediately… I mean obviously, I knew that Birdie knew.”

Later in the podcast, Busy also revealed that Birdie prefers using the they/them pronouns.
“I said, ‘You know, Bird, I’ve been doing a bad job with the pronouns,’” Busy recalled. “Because Birdie said that they would like their pronouns to be they/them, and I haven’t been doing it, and I said because I have this public persona and I want Birdie to be in control of their own narrative and not have to answer to anybody outside of our friends and family if they don’t want to.”
Busy continued, “Bird was like, ‘I don’t give a f—k. You can talk about how I’m gay and out; you can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. That’s great.’ So I said, ‘OK, I can talk about it on the podcast.’”
“So Birdie, my out kid, prefers they/them,” Busy added. “I f—k up sometimes, but I’m trying my best at that, too.”

The 40-year-old actress and Busy Tonight host dressed up as Regina George’s “Cool Mom” from Mean Girls while her daughter Birdie, 11, went as Regina!
“Her name is Regina George and she is a massive deal.💗,” Busy captioned a photo of her daughter on Instagram. She noted that Birdie brought a pair of tennis shoes to school in her backpack!
While posting the photos of herself as Regina’s mom, Busy wrote, “The irony is not lost on me that Regina George wouldn’t let this cool mom trick or treat with her and her friends.”

Busy Philipps rides a rainbow swing with her daughters while attending the Rockets of Awesome Back-to-School Pop-Up Event on Wednesday (August 7) in the Flatiron District of New York City.
The 40-year-old actress and Busy Tonight host had some fun with Birdie, 10, and Cricket, 6, at the event.
In partnership with Baby2Baby, Rockets of Awesome will have a charity box at the store where families can drop off new and used items of clothing. All donations will be given to the non-profit organization which provides necessities for children in poverty across the country.

The 39-year-old talk show host took to her Instagram to share what was supposed to be mailed out to 250 friends and family members!
