'Halo' Season 2 - 13 Stars Returning, 2 Joining, 2 Promoted to Series Regulars!

Halo is back!

The hit Paramount+ series returns to the streamer for Season 2 on Thursday (February 8).

Via Paramount: In Season 2, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction: the Halo.

Fans are very eager to know who is returning for the second season, and we already know who’s expected back – as well as some new faces!

Showtime's 'Halo' Series Casts Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, & Four More

Natascha McElhone and Bokeem Woodbine have been cast in Showtime’s upcoming Halo series!

The 49-year-old Designated Survivor actress and the 46-year-old Fargo actor will both star in the nine-episode adaptation of the hit video game, Variety reports.

Rounding out the cast are Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, and Kate Kennedy.

They join already announced show lead Pablo Schreiber and Yerin Ha.

Natascha will play two characters: Dr. Catherine Halsey, “the creator of the Spartan supersoldiers,” and Cortana, “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race.”

Bokeem will portray Soren-066, “a privateer at the fringes of human civilization whose fate will bring him into conflict with his former military masters and his old friend, the Master Chief.”

Shabana will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky, “the head of the Office of Naval Intelligence.” Bentley will portray Spartan Vannak-134, “a cybernetically augmented supersoldier conscripted at childhood who serves as the defacto deputy to the Master Chief.” Natasha will play Spartan Riz-028, “a focused, professional and deadly, cybernetically enhanced killing machine.” Kate will portray Spartan Kai-125, “a courageous, curious, and deadly Spartan supersoldier.”

Halo will start production later this year in Budapest and is set to premiere in the first quarter of 2021!

Josh Duhamel Suits Up for 'Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.' Premiere!

Josh Duhamel is all smiles as he hits the carpet at the premiere of USA Network’s Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. held at Avalon on Thursday (February 22) in Hollywood.

The 45-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Marcc Rose, Bokeem Woodbine, Wavyy Jonez, Jimmi Simpson, Liana Mendoza, David Bianchi, writer Kyle Long and director Anthony Hemingway.

Also in attendance to show their support were Regina King, Aldis Hodge, Sam Trammell, Christopher Meloni, Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown, Busta Rhymes, Mopreme Shakur and Jimmi‘s girlfriend Sophia Del Pizzo.

“What I wanted to do and what I think they did a great job of was figuring out how and sort of unpacking what these families went through, losing these two,” Josh expressed about the series (via E!). “Yeah, they were great artists, but they were also sons…and they had a lot of people around them who truly loved them, and how that affected them. And not only that, but how it affected the people who were investigating it.”

Patrick Wilson & 'Fargo' Cast Celebrate the Show with Emmy Voters

Patrick Wilson walks the red carpet at a For Your Consideration event for his television series Fargo on Thursday night (April 28) at the Paramount Lot in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Cristin Milioti, Rachel Keller, Brad Garrett, Jean Smart, Angus Sampson, Zahn McClarnon, Bokeem Woodbine, and more.

On the red carpet, Patrick chatted with Gold Derby about playing the only main character to be featured in the first season of Fargo and how he tried not to replicate Keith Carradine‘s performance. Watch the interview below!
