It’s Tudum day and Netflix has dropped the first photos from the upcoming third season of Bridgerton!

The new season will follow the relationship of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). As you know, Penelope also lives a double life as Lady Whistledown and she’ll continue to play that role in season three.

Season three began production in July 2022, so it has been a long time coming.

The Netflix series is veering away from the sequence of the Julia Quinn book series as the third book followed Benedict Bridgerton’s love life.

“There’s eight Bridgerton siblings, so we’re planning on following each one of the siblings’ romantic stories,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re not necessarily going in order but we are going to be seeing each of the siblings and their stories.”

If you’ve already watched seasons one and two of Bridgerton, make sure to also watch the spinoff series Queen Charlotte. Four Bridgerton actors appear in the spinoff!

The network revealed a new video showcasing the exact time stamps of every steamy scene in the Bridgerton prequel series, which just recently debuted on the streamer.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premieres next week on Netflix and we’re learning that there are four Bridgerton stars who make appearances in the new prequel series.

Here’s the show’s logline: Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

The Shonda Rhimes-created and produced series will debut on Netflix on May 4, 2023.

Ruby Stokes, who played Francesca Bridgerton in the first two seasons of the Netflix series Bridgerton, is explaining her decision to leave the show.

The 22-year-old actress announced last year that she would be departing the series and she has already been replaced for season three.

Francesca had very limited appearances in the first season. In the second season, she appeared in the first three episodes but then disappeared without explanation after that.
