Earlier that week, Evan took to Instagram to wish his wife a happy birthday.

Ashlee Simpson covers up her baby bump while attending Crayola’s Color Alive Launch at Open House Gallery on Thursday evening (February 5) in New York City.

The 30-year-old singer was joined by her husband Evan Ross and adorable son Bronx, 6.

Ashlee just confirmed that she and Evan are expecting a daughter!

“We’re having a girl!” she told People. “I like to know –I want to do the nursery.”

As for telling Bronx, she said, “I told him pretty early on. And he wanted to have a sister, so he’s really excited! He’s got a little brother. Now he’s going to have a little sister!”
