Cardi B Apologizes Amid Backlash Over Having 37 People at Her Thanksgiving Celebration

Cardi B is under fire for what she posted about her Thanksgiving celebration, and now she’s issuing an apology.

“12kids and 25 adults over the holidays.It was lit !!” she tweeted out over the weekend about her Thanksgiving celebration.

This year, the CDC warned against large gatherings as we’re still in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic and gatherings indoors are where the virus is often spread.

Well, as soon as Cardi B posted that message, her mentions were a mess.

Comments like, “Why are you proud of not following CDC guidelines and making healthcare workers jobs even harder? I love you but this isn’t something to be proud of,” and “Sis I love you but anyone behaving this way during a pandemic deserves to be dragged,” soon poured in.

Later, Cardi issued an apology.

Cardi B Reveals Why She Didn't Submit 'WAP' For A Grammy

Cardi B isn’t upset about being left off the official Grammys nomination list for 2021.

The 28-year-old rapper revealed in a recent Instagram Live that she’s holding out for the 2022 Grammys, when her full album can be nominated instead.

“Like I said, I never pressed for a Grammy, but y’all not gonna take away something that I know I worked my *ss off [for], that I deserve,” she emphasized in the live video.

Cardi added that if she “was pressed for a Grammy I would’ve submitted ‘WAP’ for this year and I didn’t submit it. I didn’t want to be submitted to award shows until I put out my album because I think my album is so good.”

She went on, teasing that the album “means something and I worked on it a lot. I’ve been working on it for almost 2 years. And some songs are just so emotional to me because I did them during quarantine.”

While Cardi was left off the list this year, her co-collaborator on “WAP”, Megan Thee Stallion, did pick up several, with Record of the Year, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Savage”, and Best New Artist.

Cardi won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammys for Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi B is heading out of town amid the pandemic.

The 28-year-old “WAP” superstar was spotted catching a flight out of LAX ahead of Thanksgiving on Tuesday (November 24) in Los Angeles.

Cardi was seen covered head-to-toe with her bodyguards as she headed to her flight out of town with a Rip & Repair sweatshirt that reads “No More Happy Endings.”

Cardi B is calling out Wiz Khalifa for apparent hypocrisy.

The 33-year-old Rolling Papers rapper dissed the 28-year-old “WAP” superstar with a tweet on Tuesday (November 24) following the 2021 Grammys nominations announcement.

“This was Nikkas in my dms in 2016!They really support you when you grinding at the bottom then it’s a different story when you make it !” Cardi then tweeted, showing a supportive DM from Wiz from earlier in her career.

“I don’t understand why n–as entertain tweets that pit successful women against each other? Ya not tired of that? Specially when ya was rooting hard when a bitch was at the bottom,” she added.

Cardi B Makes History with American Music Awards 2020 Win!

Cardi B made history at the 2020 American Music Awards – and she unfortunately wasn’t even there to celebrate in person!

The 28-year-old rapper became the first artist in history to win Favorite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category at the AMAs twice.

Cardi first won the award in 2018 with her hit single “Bodak Yellow,” and won the award again on Sunday night (November 22) for her song “WAP” with Megan thee Stallion.

She then took to Twitter to celebrate her historic award, revealing she missed the show because of a dentist appointment.

“Thank you guys soooo much .Me and Meg really appreciate all the love from fans ,celebs everybody that supported the song .Also thanks for voting,” Cardi tweeted. “Ugh if I would have known all this was going down today I would of rescheduled my dentist http://appointment.Im so swollen 😩😂”

Along with tweet, Cardi also attached an audio message.

“I wish I would’ve known that I was going to get an AMAs or something, I wouldn’t have went to the dentist and f–ked with my teeth,” Cardi said with a laugh. “Now I’m all f–king talking all crazy. But I just wanted to say thank you everybody. I love you so much.”

Billboard will be honoring some major women this year!

It has been announced that Cardi B has been named Woman of the Year at the 2020 Billboard’s Women in Music event, which will take place on Thursday, December 10th.

Billboard also announced that Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the prestigious Icon Award for her impact on the music industry and the greater artistic community.

The 2020 Hitmaker Award recipient this year will be Dolly Parton. while Dua Lipa will be receiving the Powerhouse Award, after her music dominated streaming, sales and radio this year.

Chloe x Halle will receive the Rising Star Award Presented by Honda, and Jessie Reyez will be honored with the American Express Impact Award.

The 51-year-old School of Rock star took to TikTok for an impressive performance of Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B‘s “WAP.”

In the video, shared on Monday (November 16), Jack wears nothing but a red speedo as he does the viral TikTok dance challenge to the global smash hit while being continuously sprayed down with water. The video has already been viewed over 20 million times!
