Bindi Irwin shared a sweet tribute to her late father, Steve Irwin, over the weekend.

The 23-year-old wildlife conservationist marked the 15th anniversary of his passing, sharing that she knows he is her daughter, Grace Warrior‘s, guardian angel.

“This sweetheart has been watching her ‘Grandpa Crocodile’ on the projector at our camp here on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve,” Bindi captioned. “She lights up when she sees him on screen.”

The wildlife conservationist continued, “I wish with all my heart that Dad could hug my beautiful girl. It’s been 15 years since he passed away. I hold on to the thought that he’s her guardian angel now, watching over the most special part of my life, Grace Warrior.”

Bindi was just eight when Steve passed away. She and husband Chandler Powell welcomed Grace in March this year.

Bindi Irwin is a mother!

The 22-year-old Crikey! It’s the Irwins star and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their first child together, they confirmed on social media on Friday (March 26).

And her name is…Grace Warrior Irwin Powell!

“March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter. ❤️ Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light,” Bindi captioned their first photo together.

“Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad. There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”

Their daughter was born at 5:52 p.m. and weighed 7 Lbs. and 7 oz, measuring at 20 inches long.

“Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. After waiting for you to arrive for the last 9 months, finally meeting you has been the best moment of my life. You have a big life ahead of you and no matter what, you will be surrounded by a whole lot of love. Thank you for gracing your beautiful mother and me on our wedding anniversary, so excited to have you home❤️” Chandler wrote on his Instagram.

“Love is not a big enough word. My heart is so incredibly happy. And I know that Steve would be beyond proud. Grace is the next generation to continue his mission and message of conservation. She chose her parents wisely. Bindi and Chandler are already the best parents ever!” wrote happy mom Terri Irwin on social media.

Bindi and Chandler revealed they were expecting in early August. They married in an intimate ceremony back in March 2020.

It’s going to be a girl for Bindi Irwin!

The 22-year-old conservationist and daughter of the late Steve Irwin recently took to Instagram to reveal that she and husband Chandler Powell are expecting a baby girl.

“Baby girl, you are our world. ❤️” Bindi wrote. “Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can’t wait for her arrival next year.”

Bindi announced the exciting news by sharing a photo hugging an Aldabra tortoise while Chandler held up a sonogram of their daughter.

Chandler then took to the comments to write, “I love you and our daughter more than anything.”

Bindi and Chandler revealed they were expecting back in early August. They married in a intimate ceremony back in March.

“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” the 22-year-old conservationist and daughter of the late Steve Irwin wrote on her Instagram account along with a photo of a baby’s outfit.

She continued, “Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell‘s intimate wedding aired just last night on Animal Planet during a special episode of Crikey! It’s The Irwins.

Now, the 21-year-old conservationist is sharing her romantic wedding vows she said to Chandler, a former professional wakeboarder.

“Chandler, When I went to write my vows I found I couldn’t stop writing them. I started by sharing all the ways you make my life beautiful and wrote close to a thousand words,” Bindi wrote. “Then I moved on to write about what an extraordinary person you are and I needed a new pen.”

She continued, “Finally, I wanted to share all my hopes for the future and I ran out of notebook paper. I thought about how there is no way to describe genuine, unconditional love. A love like this is meant to be felt, in every part of our soul. Marriage marks an incredible beginning and yet I feel like we’ve already experienced so much life together.”

“We say all the time that it feels like we’ve been married for years. We’ve been a team through life’s wonderful highs and difficult lows. You’ve held my hand as we’ve run towards every new adventure. My dad used to say that I couldn’t marry anyone unless he could swim across the croc pond first. And now, here you are, helping us during our regular crocodile demonstrations.”

Bindi continued, “One of your jobs is to jump into the water with our biggest crocs to help encourage them home! They say there’s a moment when you know you’ve fallen in love with someone, for me it was watching you happily jump in the water with a 15 foot crocodile and then tell me how much you enjoyed it. You are my soulmate. I promise to love you with all my heart through every twist and turn the world brings our way.”

Chandler and Bindi‘s original plans included a ceremony in the African Savannah part of the Australia Zoo. It was changed when the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic started to get more serious.

Their wedding was attended by Bindi‘s mom Terri, brother Robert and their close family friend and zoo director, Wes Mannion.

Russell Crowe has gifted something pretty cool to Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell for their wedding – a tree!

The young couple tied the knot a few weeks ago at Australia Zoo, with no guests, besides her brother Robert, and mom Terri.

”Happy Birthday, @russellcrowe 💙,” Bindi started on her latest Instagram post. “You’ll always be part of our family.”

In the pic, Bindi and Chandler both posed next to a giant Port Jackson Fig tree from Russell.

“Even though we can’t see you right now, we’re giving the beautiful fig you gifted us a hug and thinking of you,” Bindi added. “Hope your day is extraordinary.”

Russell has been a long time friend of the family and supporter of the zoo.

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell changed all of their wedding plans amid the Coronavirus pandemic…and got married anyone in front of no guests!

“March 25th 2020 ❤️ We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos,” Bindi, 21, captioned a photo of her and her new husband Chandler, 23.

She continued, “Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history. Today we celebrated life and revelled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens. Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory. We shared tears and smiles and love. Thankfully, since we all live at Australia Zoo as a family, we could be there for each other. To everyone reading this – stay safe, social distance and remember LOVE WINS!”

The pair got engaged on her 21st birthday back in July.
